SBIRS GEO Flight 4 Atlas V Launch
ULA’s Atlas V rocket will launch the latest Space Based Infrared System Geosynchronous (SBIRS) satellite. The spacecraft will serve as part of a early warning missile detection system. The 401 version of the Atlas V uses a four meter fairing, no solid rocket motors and a single RL10C rocket engine in its Centaur upper stage.
